The Longbow

The Longbow was made from a single stave of wood from the yew tree.  It had a pull weight of upwards of 85 pounds, and many longbows had pull weights upwards of 120 pounds.  It shot an arrow of approximately 30 inches well in excess of 200 yards.  Longbow arrows had heads of iron, which could easily pierce chain mail armour.
